The cats are completely stunned at this revival of baking. They sit at the edge of my kitchen and stare at me like I've gone mad. It's going to be 100 degrees today. So I'm clearly possessed to be firing up the oven. But yeast and dough and butter and sugar calls me today. And I must obey the siren song....

Next is the French baguettes from the recipe on the KA bag, but oops I forgot to set up the starter last night so now this has to wait until next weekend. Scones are later today, using Gesine's recipe. Have reawakened. OK going to your blog now....

Fortunately, Jim, croissants are easily come by these days. Try slicing one, putting a thin sliver of high quality chocolate in the middle and heating it just enough to make the chocolate soft......... yum
